Important Notes
Valid Phytosanitary Import Permit is required to import plants, plant products, and regulated articles into the Maldives.
Importers must report the arrival of all consignments to the Phytosanitary Inspector at the designated port of entry.
Items imported without a valid permit, not reported for inspection, or imported in violation of permit conditions may be quarantined and destroyed by the Phytosanitary Inspectors.
Importers must ensure that they obtain a valid permit in advance and verify that the plant types they import are included in the permits they hold.
