A permit to import beneficial living organisms can be requested through the following form. The form and the required documents should be submitted to the Ministry's counter or by email.
Documents containing detailed technical information about the beneficial organisms must be submitted with the form. This should include documents detailing the classification of the beneficial organisms (scientific name and common name), as well as the place of origin and geographical distribution. Research related to the importance of these beneficial organisms must be provided to support their intended use. Comprehensive biological information (biology) of the organisms should be included, along with details on natural enemies of the beneficial organisms.
The documents must also describe the impact on the area where the organism resides, including any ecological considerations. A list of specific hosts must be provided, along with an assessment of potential risks to unintended hosts. Phytosanitary standards to be followed before import must be clearly outlined to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, any health risks for those handling, breeding, or using these organisms must be addressed.
Plans or procedures for handling potential incidents, such as accidental release or contamination, should be included. Transport and storage procedures must be documented, detailing the conditions and methods used to ensure safe handling. Procedures for disposing of containers must also be provided, ensuring proper waste management. Furthermore, the standards for facilities where the organisms are kept must be clearly described to guarantee appropriate containment and safety. Rearing and releasing procedures should be outlined in detail. Finally, the scientific and common names of the pests to be controlled by the beneficial organisms must be specified.
