Addu City’s outstanding achievement in the agricultural sector at the Maldives Expo is a clear testament to the community’s dedication and enthusiasm for advancing agriculture, said Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Dr. Maryam Mariya.

Speaking at the awards ceremony held last night to honor the winners of the exhibition, Minister Mariya congratulated Addu City Council for securing first place in the agricultural category. She commended the city’s exceptional performance, noting it as a proud reflection of the deep-rooted love and commitment of Addu’s residents toward the development of the agriculture sector.

Minister Mariya further emphasized that promoting and strengthening Maldivian agriculture remains a key priority of the current administration. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to making agriculture a cornerstone of the national economy.
