The Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare has met with MTCC.

During this meeting, MTCC expressed interest in incorporating Agronet vessels into their fleet to transport farmers' produce.

MTCC noted that a decision from senior officials at the President's Office is needed for this matter. The company stated they are ready to proceed with this initiative once the decision is made, under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare.

Additionally, MTCC mentioned that they have already prepared schedules as part of their ferry services and will share these details with the ministry. Discussions were held regarding the ministry reviewing these schedules, developing a logistics plan, and then communicating this information to farmers.

The ministry is working to seek assistance from various parties to facilitate arrangements for selling products produced by Maldivian farmers.
