As part of her ongoing visit to Fuvahmulah City, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare Dr. Maryam Mariya held a meeting with the Fuvahmulah City Council to discuss key issues related to agriculture in the region.
During the meeting, council members highlighted several challenges faced by local farmers, including the spread of plant diseases and damage to fruits caused by pests. The discussion focused on identifying practical solutions and exploring opportunities for collaboration between the Ministry and the City Council to address these concerns effectively.
The meeting also included updates on the establishment of an agricultural laboratory in Fuvahmulah. This facility is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote sustainable agriculture in the Maldives by providing scientific support and diagnostic services to farmers.
